Need to Know – Added Ingredients
The main two ingredients that bring this recipe to life are the covered pretzels. For this recipe, give the pretzels a rough chop or 1 to 2 pulses in the food processor to add to the dough mix. And if you want to add some on top for cookie garnish just set some aside to add the time the cookies come out of the oven.

Want Round Cookies?
Now raise your hand if your baked cookies come out with all kinds of funny shapes? I used to always have problems with my cookies spreading and being flat! LOL But no worries. I’ve been there and done that! But of course, after countless tries, I have finally found a few solutions.
Solution #1 – The obvious is simply using a cookie cutter. You can not go wrong with a good ole cookie cutter.
Solution #2 – If you do not have a cookie cutter on hand. Place cookie dough onto parchment paper and roll the dough tightly close to the parchment paper to form a log. This will help your cookie to form into that perfect round cookie shape. Then place in the refrigerator to chill. This process helps to set your dough. When you’re ready to bake just cut the dough into 1-inch slices.
Solution #3 – After mixing your ingredients take 2 tbsp. of dough and roll into a ball repeat until all the cookie dough has been rolled. Then place the dough onto a cooking sheet and chill in the fridge for 1 to 2 hours.
Solution #4 – Baking the Cookies– I found by placing the dough onto a wax paper or silicone baking sheet, will also prevent the dough from spreading too much. Be sure to place your dough 2 inches apart and place the baking sheet into a well-preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes.
Encouraging words for beginners……
I must admit that it has taken me quite some time to warm up to the idea of baking. All I knew is that baking required some sort of formula, a scientific knowledge, mixed with magical powering baking skills that you were just born with! Ok maybe without the theatrics, but you get my point.
Just be patient with yourself and the process while baking. There will be trials and errors. I say embrace them with open arms. Allow yourself to learn all the tips and tricks of baking and/or cooking. Have fun and enjoy your journey!
