Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease baking sheet with oil or line with parchment paper.
Cut butter into cubes then add into a large bowl. Add in Flour. Combine the flour and butter by using a food processor with short pulse or by using a pastry cutter cutting the butter into the flour until it forms into crumbles.
Create a well in the middle of the mixture and add in the buttermilk. Gently mix with a spatula with a few turns. Be careful to not over mix.
Sprinkle flour onto a flat surface and add the biscuit dough onto the floured surface. Sprinkle a little flour on the sticky dough and gently pat the dough to form a square shape.
Gently fold the dough over to create layers. Then gently pat dough, Repeat fold in the opposite direction and pat again, then repeat once more.
Take a 2 ½ inch biscuit cutter or cup and coat it with flour. Cut out dough without twisting the cutter. Place biscuit onto the baking pan.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until Biscuits are golden brown. Remove from oven and brush with melted butter.
