Overnight Oats
Jump to RecipeWhat in the heavens took me so long to make this breakfast dessert?
Growing up eating oatmeal wasn’t all that exciting for me. A matter-of-fact it was that one breakfast meal that I really dread eating simply because it was so plain and boring. When I say that I have had my fair share of oatmeal for breakfast at least three times a week especially during the winter months. Now fast forward up until a few months ago I didn’t really care for oatmeal all that much simply because of my childhood memory of it being so boring and dreadful.
I decided to give it another try. I tried the flavor pack oatmeal and that seem to work out for a very short time but there was something still missing. and now scrolling on social media I kept seeing Infamous overnight oats. There were so many recipes out there of this What I call a dessert in a jar.
How long is the prepping time?
Not long at all. This is one quick recipe that is made easy for someone who is not as comfortable in the kitchen. It usually takes me 5 minutes to add my Oats, Flaxseeds, Banana, Milk and Honey in a jar or container give it a good mix, cover and in the fridge it goes!
Do I Heat my Overnight Oats?
You can eat overnight oats cold or heated. It really all depends on your preference. Both are equally delicious and you might even prefer enjoying your oats warm especially during the winter months.
Should I wait to add the fruit and toppings last?
You can definitely add in your blueberries the night before. However, I would add the sliced bananas that morning. Also if you enjoy granola as a topping feel free to add that as well.
