Hot Spinach and Shrimp Dip Key Ingredients
Baby Spinach – Frozen or Fresh Spinach? Feel free to use either frozen or fresh spinach. With the frozen or fresh spinach, be sure to squeeze the extra moisture out. For this recipe, I used fresh baby spinach.
Shrimp – Medium or Large Raw Shrimp will work just fine for this recipe. The shrimp will be chopped into pieces so that there’s shrimp with each scoop of dip.
Mushrooms – I suggest adding them if you love mushrooms because it takes this recipe to the next level. Adding mushrooms adds more layers of flavor and savoriness and makes it a hearty appetizer.
Cheese – For this recipe, I used cream cheese (room temperature), grated parmesan, smoked gouda and mild cheddar cheese (add on top for final layer and added pop of color). The brand of cheese is totally your preference.
More Ingredients
- Worcestershire Sauce
- Olive Oil
- Onion
- Garlic
- Half n Half
- Smoked Paprika
- White Pepper
- Fresh Parsley (for garnish)

What to Serve with your Spinach Dip?
- Tortilla Chips – Restaurant Style, Blue Corn Tortilla Chips or White Corn Tortilla Chips.
- Pita Chips / Pita Bread -Rather you prefer a more soft, fluffy bread or a crispy version of the pita bead that has baked or fried. Both are really great options to pair with this dip!
- Baguette – The long thin loaves pair perfectly with the Hot Spinach Dip. Cut the baguette in slices and lightly brush olive oil, then toast in the oven.
- Cut Veggies – An Assortment of raw cut veggies such as carrots, celery, and bell pepper slices adds a colorful yet freshness to the appetizer.
- Crackers – Another great option to serve is crackers. I do suggest serving crackers with less bold flavors so that the bold-flavored crackers and the spinach dip do not compete with one another.
