This Super Easy Chicken and Dumplings recipe is pure comfort in a bowl. It features tender chicken in a rich creamy broth, complemented by soft fluffy buttery bites of dumplings.
I was talking to a good friend of mine, and we had a conversation on the different types of meals that we grew up on. We recalled many comforting meals that our mothers, grandmothers and aunts use to make, that just warmed our heart and soul. And one of those meals of course is chicken and dumplings.
My grandmother would make this dish and I remembered it taking way longer due to her making the dumplings from scratch and back then she had all the time in the world to do so.
Fast forward I feel as though the days runs into one another as to why I was all for using the can biscuits for the dumplings. Oh wait, it gets even better, I also used store bought rotisserie chicken for this recipe.
I love making this dish for my family especially during the fall and winter months because the season change just calls for it. Even though this is a super easy recipe, this chicken and dumplings is so flavorful and delicious.
