Cook Bacon pieces in the skillet on medium to high heat. remove bacon from skillet right before it reaches crispy and place on a paper towel.
Reduce heat. Using the same skillet with a little bacon grease left, sauté the jalapeno peppers and red onions for 2-3 minutes. remove from skillet onto a paper towel.
In a large bowl, add ground beef, liquid smoke, seasonings, cubed cheddar cheese, half portion of cooked bacon, half portion of sauteed jalapeno peppers and onions (optional) combined all the ingredients by hand and begin to form the patty.
In the same skillet, cook the patties on each side for 4-5 minutes or to your approval. Remove patties from the skillet and allow to rest.
Lightly toast hamburger bun with a light spread of butter, then begin to add toppings like the remaining bacon, jalapenos and BBQ sauce. Enjoy!
